Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: April 18, 2025.

Thank you for choosing FoodForward. These Terms & Conditions explain how bookings, payments, cancellations, and participation work. By booking or attending a FoodForward class or event (an “Experience”), you accept these terms.

1. Booking & Payment

1.1 Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed when we (a) receive full payment and (b) send you a confirmation email.

1.2 Payment methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Interac e‑Transfer, and cheque. Transactions are processed using secure, PCI‑compliant systems.

1.3 Pricing

All prices are in Canadian dollars. HST is not currently charged. Prices may change, but once you have a confirmed booking, your price is fixed. There are no charitable receipts issued for FoodForward experiences.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

2.1 Cancellation & rescheduling by you

[7] days or more before the Experience – We will happily reschedule your experience. If a cancellation is requested, we will refund all payments if requested minus a 10% administrative fee (non-refundable).

Fewer than [7] days before the Experience – Payments are non‑refundable.

All cancellations must be emailed to foodforward@cambridgefoodbank.org.

2.2 Cancellation by FoodForward

We may cancel an Experience for reasons beyond our control (for example, severe weather, instructor illness, facility problems, or insufficient enrolment). If this happens, you may choose (a) a full refund or (b) an alternative date. FoodForward is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs you may incur.

2.4 Force Majeure

FoodForward is not liable for delays or failures caused by events such as natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or labour disputes.

3. Participant Responsibilities

Arrival – Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time for check‑in. Experiences begin on time, and we cannot extend the session for late arrivals.

Conduct & safety – Treat others with respect and follow the instructor’s safety instructions. We may ask anyone behaving in a disruptive or unsafe manner to leave without a refund.

Allergies & dietary needs – Tell us about allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking and no later than 72 hours before the Experience. We will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee an allergen‑free environment.

Age requirements – Unless specified otherwise, participants must be 18 years or older or be accompanied by a responsible adult.

4. Safety & Liability

Cooking involves hot surfaces, sharp tools, and potential allergens. Sorting room activities involves lifting heavy objects, repetitive motions, tripping hazards, potential allergens, and standing for long periods of time. Gardening activities involve sharp tools, tripping hazards, sun exposure, and contact with allergins. By participating, you accept these risks. If FoodForward is found liable for any reason, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Experience.
